I have heard that the newer 4l60e transmissions in f bodys came with the vette servo installed from factory... but not the truck trannys... is there any truth to this?... I have one and plan on using it sowanted to know if I needed to upgrade it... anyone?..

The truck units don't have the vette servo. You could very easily remove it and check it. All you would need is new orings to reinstall it.
