SFI Flexplates what gives?
I want to get an SFI approved flexplate for my car when I do the converter next month but can anyone tell me why there are such large price differences between them? I've been LSx SFI flexplates anywhere from $85 - $250 and I have no idea why there is such a big gap.

B&M is the cheapest I've seen, $85, Yank is $10 more. I haven't heard from Greg yet about how much his are at FTI (I'm getting an FTI converter), does Yank seem to have the best value-to-performance ratio for their flexplate?

For reference, this is what the Cat Power looks like: Notice the trademark peanut shaped holes.

This is a Pioneer brand thats rebadged a lot and also sold under the Hughes name for a lot more$$:

And the TCI appears to be unique from the rest.

Interesting, the one on Yank's site has the peanut shape and so does Circle-D...
Would that mean that the steel one you posted from ebay would be a better choice?

The Peanut shaped ones are made by CAT Power in china. Their SFI rating was legit when I checked when I was in the market for a flexplate. They are rebadged and sold by tons of vendors. I would recommend buying from a sponsor if possible. The links were for reference only.

Yeah, I was going to get the Yank with the peanut shape but after shipping it's cheaper to get one from Speed Inc. Problem is it costs $99.99 and they offer free shipping so I'm waiting to hear if they'll give me that penny lol

Question guys, obviously a flexplate is relatively cheap insurnace but should I spend $100 on a flexplate when my car only has 26k miles on it?

You will also need to replace the bolts.
Btw, my B&M didn't quite fit my converter. The elongated hole, or peanut shaped, caused some issues. I already had the converter bolted to my factory plate so that's not issue. The damn holes were off on the plate. I had two of them in with thread locker and could not get the third one in. I used a dremel and made them fit. But then had to chase the converter bolts. All in/under the car.
Bet your *** next time I'll make damn sure it all bolt togather before I put it in!
If your changing the plate, you will also need to, or should imo, change the bolts to the crank, and converter
