Default 200r4 with LS1 conversion, how would you control shift points etc?

I'm evaluating keeping my built 200r4 and using GM's adapter to save a significant amount of money on the trans. My only concern and question is about shifting...how will it be controlled if I run the 200r4? The same way it is controlled now...which is (sadly I don't know) unknown to me...

I'm MORE familiar with the 4L60E than this type of trans....

I believe the normal shifting is done by the TV cable.. You would have fab a bracket to the throttle cam.. WOT shifts are done by govenor weights & springs.. The lighter the weight, the higher the shift point & vise-versa.

I am putting a 200-4r in my Chevelle swap. The shifting is controlled by the TV cable at part throttle, and the governor at full throttle. You can also manually shift them if you want. Whoever builds the trans can calibrate the governed shift points some, but from what I have read it is not an exact science. Bowtie Overdrives (and a few others) build a TV cable setup to be able to hook the TV cable setup to a DBC throttle body. I have seen posts on other forums about making it work with a DBW setup, but don't know too much about it.

I also wanted to add, there's a guy in the Conversions and Hybrids forum with a pretty good deal on a built 200-4r that would be worth looking into if there's anything wrong with your 200.

Call Jake's Performance, Jake has a TON of 200R4 experience.
