Default 4l60e won't turn

Worked when I removed it now when I try to put in the converter bolts it wouldn't turn fully. So I removed it again and when I seat the converter all the way in it won't rotate fully.Stops at almost a full revolution.I tried moving the gear slect but no change. What am I missing?I changed many other trans' before and never had a problem like this.

Why did you have it out? Did you open it up? When you put it back in the first time are you sure were seated all the way? If you put it in neutral can you turn the DS?

I pulled the motor and trans to put in a C3 vette,I never opened the trans but separtated it from the motor.I went through all the gears and I also made sure it was seated.I'm afraid that maybe it slide out some when I was reassebling it and could have damaged the pump.

pulled the converter off and looked where the 2 tabs are (where the 2 slots on the converter slides into) and noticed that have only 1.Could that be the problem?Did it break off or slip into the pump?Has this happened to anyone else? Can I remove the pump and fix this or do I need a new pump?

Very common. Happens to alot of people when they don't seat the converter properly. Remove the pump and replace the broken parts.

You will have to inspect the internal pump surface for damage.
