Sounds like either the pump or converter went bad.You need to pull the stick to make sure there is enough fluid.

It'll drive fine the first few miles then starts acting up.

Just checked the fluid, it was full, didn't smell burnt or anything.

If it drives for awhile then stops moving the filter is probably clogged with debris. If that is the case its time for a rebuild.

Filter is located at bottom of trans, exposed after trans oil pan is removed. Potentially messy job, easy filter replacement,be cautious of filter seal replacement/or re-use.

What's the chances of me just changing the filter and it being okay, IF that's the case? I honestly have no clue. I thought It was weird that it just decided to go out today instead of gradually going out.

If the filter is clogged it's because something is coming apart. If it is the filter it will start slipping before it stops moving. If you let it cool it starts moving again. Are those your symptoms?

Yes, when the trans is cool it shifts perfect and firm, after about 3-4 miles it sounds like It's going into 3rd then neutral. This just started today and showed no symptoms before. I drove it on the freeway for more then a hour last week without any weird symptoms.

Messing around with the camaro today. After warmed up, won't do anything except barely move in drive with overdrive off. it rolls backwards In drive with overdrive on, and in 1st 2nd. Sounds like a rattling or scratching noise when in neutral and park. Hopefully that can narrow it down for you guys.
