Default 4l80e interchange

would a 96 suburban 4l80e work behind a 2001 lq4 with the 0411 computer. or would there be modifications that would need to be made?

Yes. You will have to modify the cooling lines (later style has 1 front and 1 rear, instead of both up front). Also the rear cooling line fitting in the transmisison won't work if you try to move it up to the front.

The transmission will be compatible with the PCM but you will need to add the wiring in the vehicle's harness for the input speed sensor.

Sorry, I was thinking you were putting an 80E in place of another 80E that already existed. As far as details, check the 4L80E sticky.
