Default Broke pump 4l60e

Ive broke 2 pumps in a built 4l60e. The first pump with no shims made it 700 miles, then ripped the lugs off the pump and broke the ring that holds the veins. The builder told me that the converter was not engaged fully with the pump, told me how far to shim it and sent me on my way. 100 miles later, I had a line come loose and blow fluid everywhere. I towed it home, put it on the neighbors lift and put a new clip in the quick connect, filled it with fluid and made it 100 miles before busting the pump. I've measured the length of the converter, which is with in spec, and measured the run out of the fly wheel with the converter bolted up. It's .008 at its greatest, which is AWSOME. This transmission is built with the same parts that this builder uses for some really fast trucks around my area. Mine is the only problems he's having. He hasent chargered me any thing past the origanel agreed price for the transmission. I'm at a loss. Any advice will be much appreciated.
It's a 2000 TransAm with a 4l60e and a PTC built converter for my heads cam and nitrous I plan to install.
The engine is a 2003 LQ4 60,000 miles, long tubes, ls6 intake, all free mods. Stock rear, and 3:23 gear.

From a Denalli with a 4l60e. When I first swapped engines I used the fly wheel that was on the 6.0.

I just broke my pump. But that's because I didn't have the TC in all the way and bolted the trans to the motor and realized I couldn't turn the flywheel. Seperated it and put it back together right just to find out I tore the pump out. Oops!
