Default 94' z28 apparent limp mode problems

Hey guys. My Z is having transmission problems. No first gear/4th gear or OD. Has reverse 2nd and 3rd (upon manual positioning). Fluid level is fine and smells good. Have not had the chance to drop pan and inspect for needle bearings, metal chunks, etc. Car has 100,000 miles.

First things first I inspected all the wiring going to the top of the valve body, o2 sensors, grounds, and the fuse that controls the o2s/trans. Everything is fine, longtubes haven't burnt anything.

One thing notable is that there is a sensor on the drivers side tail end of the trans with 2 wires going to it. Upon releasing the clip and pulling the plug off trans fluid began dripping out of the sensor (not around the edges but through the two male prongs?). I suspect this may be the problem. What is this sensor? Speed sensor? I have attached pics of said problem. Thanks in advance!
