Default Torque converter storage?

How best to store a converter? I've had a stock spare, partially filled with fluid, capped to keep dust out in the floor of the back seat of my DD. Is it ok to just leave it flat on the front cover? Been carrying it for about 2 weeks, was sitting flat for about a year this way in my old shop.

I'd like to know this as well. I have had my stock stall filled with fluid sitting in my FTI box in the T-Top area for a couple weeks now myself.
