I know it's not a spacer I got the one out of my 99 z28 and compared them and the rear snout is a half inch longer. I don't recall the bolt holes but believe I would have noticed that. They are at the machine shop now or I'd post a pick. Looks like the TC had 5 bolts on the truck and 3 on the car. Flex plate look like I could drill out 3 of the 5 hole and use the long crank with it if the overal length is the same.

Those early 4L80 equipped cranks were longer to work with the 4L80 trans. Then GM figured out it was cheaper to make just 1 crank and just use a spacer on 4L80 vehicles.
You might be able to have a custom converter made to allow you to use the long crank with a 4L60, or maybe make a spacer to go between the engine and tranny?
