Shift duration?

Shift duration? On my A4, the shift duration varied from .163 to .50. I reduced them to the lowest setting already present on the tables, .163.
My questions are, can you set the shift duration too short? What is the best setting for shift duration on the A4? Should I have it set higher or lower than .163?

I have run around with a Predator canned tune for
over a year, that appears to have been setting
the adaptation time to 0.00. LS1-Edit manual offers
only a nebulous warning. As I understand it zero
adaptation time simply results in full line pressure
being used to drive shift hydraulics, same as will
happen at WOT anyway, so what's the diff? Other
than bumping it like you were driving WOT full time.
