Has anyone heard of a lock up built into the trans and can be activated with a micro switch? And im not talking about a trans brake.

The trans is supposedly built by Mike ridings, and same with the lock up solenoid inside the trans.

Supposedly the solenoid pushes trans fluid into the converter to lock the piston in.

 

Lock the piston in the converter*. What's the advantage of having this lock up in the trans? Is it something I can always have on? I read that majority of people use it on the freeway. Anyone that can shed more light on this it will be greatly appreciated.
