Hi everybody. I have a 2.84 low gear planetary set that I used for 15 runs and is like new that needs a new home. My car I believe is simply too heavy to take advantage of this performance enhancer. Give me a shout if interested.

Were you able to make a comparison between the two gear sets to see, if there is any gain with the 2.84 gear set in the quarter mile?

For me it didn't hurt, I still went fast, it just didn't help.

I have the 2.84 planetary in my car now. I cannot give a comparison because I change too many things at once and often have traction problems. It is well made and at least looks sturdy; it works with both the older and newer style reaction carrier. The picture below shows it with the older style reaction carrier bearing, but I am running with the new style carrier and bearing.
