Can this linkage be fabbed
I'm missing the linkage from the cable to the tranny shift rod. Can I just fab this piece or does anyone know of an alternative?
It's the silver peice in the picture.

I think a fabbed would work its just a sheet of metal, if you really cared for it, you could always hit up your local salvage yard, correct me if im wrong the shift linkage that your pointing is on an automatic and its the same piece from V8-v6 and as far as i know 93'-02'
EDIT: if youd like, im headed to my local salvage yard for a few parts for my 98' TA i can pull one for you and have it shipped to you?

That is the part number for the lever. I had bought a new shift linkage cable, then went to the junkyard to get a lever, but it didn't work with my cable. Apparently GM switched things up with the newer cables and they wont work with the older levers. The new lever has a larger ball on the end where the linkage snaps onto. I bought the new lever, installed it on my 4L80, then my brand new shift linkage broke. I reverted back to the old lever and got a shift linkage from a buddy he had laying around.
Where I am getting at with this is that I more than likely will not be using the lever I bought. If the newer style lever will work for you let me know I can send it to you. It was only $10 from my local dealer, so if you can get one closer and need it right now you might want to try that.
Sorry for the rambling!
