Im looking to buy it to put in my 02 z28 if it will fit. Its been sitting outside covered up but could it have gotten water inside? The dipstick and converter are still in it.

 

seems to be an early model 4l60e. it wont work with out moding

 

It has the removable bellhousing so it does match the year. I believe they started doing that in late 90's. I most likely will have water in it sitting outside uncovered.

 

He is blowing smoke at you. That definitely not an 01 corvette trans. It looks like it is a GM reman trans for a 5.7 Vortec or 4.3 Vortec truck, van or SUV. It will not work behind your LS1 with out changing the pump, input shaft, converter and tail housing.

 

C5 vette trans has no tailshaft housing........

 

Not a Vette trans thats for sure. Looks like it came out of a full size truck or the like.
