th350 ???? problems after rebuild
th350 ???? problems after rebuild hey guys im having a problem well not really me but my uncle. he has been rebuilding transmissions for over 20 years and i don't know why he keeps failing on mine.
th350 reverse manual valve body with trans brake and hd 2nd gear sprag and drum. latest upgrade was the drum.
now i have no 3rd, i need some help here guys. i have dropped this trans about 20 times im about fed up with this.
it was first the sprag braking and upgraded the sprag and drum and now no 3rd before the upgrade the car would shift perfect all the time. what u guy think i know its an easy fix he just cant find the problem. im about to trade for t56.

i did lol. they went over it supposedly fixed it and nothing! sent the valve body back to jw and they supposedly fixed it too and nothing! im going crazy i dropped this trans 15 times i whistle and the trans come out on it own already lol....
trans brake was working properly. but stopped working cuz of bad ground. yes it's a reverse valve body. linkage clicks in to all gears normally. i never had a problem with it shifting the only problem i had was braking the 2nd sprag and i upgraded to the hd drum then it started the problem with 3rd gear...

If the trans brake works and you have reverse that means the direct clutch is working which means you should have third gear.Which boils down to either a linkage problem or a valve body problem usually.Whos direct drum did you install?I know you said the linkage has all of the clicks but does it line up properly in every gear? it is real important to have it perfect.
