Non PWM Converter

Non PWM Converter
I have a 96 camaro with the 4L60-E. I just got it back from getting rebuilt and they gave me a new torque converter with it. I'm planning on installing the trans this weekend but i decided to look up the part number thats on the box that the tq converter comes in. I searched it and it seems they gave me one thats lock up but is non pwm, and from what i know, my transmission has pwm. Will it still be able to lock up?

You should disable PWM for any aftermarket converter (unless you buy one with good clutches). The TCC is not enough to hold the slipping action that PWM allows.
You should be able to disable it in the tune (I dont really know LT1 OBD2 software). Or get a shift kit that does away with the 1870 code, they come with a new valve that will change it to just on/off.
