Cheap isn't always better. I personally wouldn't put a cheap converter in my car because in most instances you get what you pay for. If you don't have the money for a good one now save up for it. But it's your car do whatever your want.

I agree. A good 9.5" billet converter will last. If you don't want a crazy stall, most of those come in the 2800-3200 range and would be very streetable.

Even most of the 3600-3800 stalls can be driven in a daily driver without too much fuss. Just need a tight converter that gets the car moving before 2k and it'd be easy to drive all the time.

Have no complaints from my "cheap-o" revmax 4k 9.5" converter in my H/C car.

Converter is where you make your biggest gains or setbacks. Also a PITA in a 4l60e car with the whole bellhousing around it. I would buy a quality converter the first time.

10 bucks says 3-4 months after its bolt ons at most you start shopping for a cam, nitrous or something else.

No sir. It's my dd. If I'm gonna do anything big, it goes towards the z06. I just want a few lil bolt ons to run with some 4v stangs. I want gears, maybe a small stall and a tune. It'd wake the car up

3600 stall and 3.73s. It'll be nice and tight in a dd and will wake right up when you hit the go fast pedal. I dd my 3600/3.23 camaro in the summer and i think it's perfect honestly.

Cheap and low quality are two different things.
You can get a ptc for 525$ shipped with a trans cooler.

342s and a 3400 would be my choice for a strict dd. Room to grow in the future, nice gains, will feel almost like stock.

Don't mean to jack, but those of you running stalls, is a tune absoultly necessary? Got a 3600 waiting to go in but been searching mixed reviews if a tune is needed in a dd car
