Default what do i do????

I have a 99 6.0 that has the long/extended crank. I also have the matching 4l80e. Ive called Circle D, RevMax, and even Art Carr, no one has anything for me other than building a custom converter for 800 bucks and up. Im on a budget and i really need a stall. Hughes has one but its only a 2500 and i need a 3200-3600. Does anyone know anything i can do?

A Hughes 2500 is nearly $800 at Summit; many off-the-shelf 4L80E converters are more than that. Circle_D, RevMax and others basically build to order anyway; so they really are not charging much more, if any, for the "custom" converter you need. Sorry that they are so expensive, but it the cost of playing the game. At least you will always be the winner.

Yea, i first thought that doing a 6.0 lq4/4l80e swap in my 81 c10 was a good idea, but now im kicking my self in the butt! I didnt think it'd this expensive i guess i should say. Im 3700 in and still have another 1500-1600 to spend just to get the transmission to work in it. Hell, i coulda built a forged roller motor with a blower or turbo for what ill have in this 6.0. I dunno maybe ill bite the bullet and just get a 800$ verter, i just dont wanna...
