TH400 Transbrakes and parts.
I wanted to let everyone know about some new products we're releasing.
We have a TH400 reverse pattern full manual transbrake. In the past we've bought and used these from other companies in the industry. Since the aftermarket has has 40 years to work on these, I never saw the need to reinvent the wheel and make our own. I've studied various designs and some are better than others. I tried to incorporate the good features and leave out the flaws.
I think we struck a homerun with this design. The good news is, we will be offering introductory pricing that is about half the MSRP of most currently available models.
It is a "band on" design. This gives an added margin of safety to the low roller clutch during tire shake or driveline failure. It also helps with setup time. It will engage faster which is critical for the turbo guys who need to spool up. It is a true dual feed design, meaning it applies third gear through both sides of the center support, which is critical on the setups making north of ~1300 HP or so. I can incorporate engine braking as an option.
We're also offering a forward pattern manual transbrake. Occasionally we get a call for forward pattern. This is in answer to those requests. Again, it is a band on design, it also features a safe neutral so the trans can be shifted to neutral after a pass. Engine braking is also optional.
We are also stocking 2.10 gearsets, iron and aluminum "Super Drum" setups for the 400 and 4L80E, as well as all the billet shafts and rebuild kits for both.
