Question LT1 Fbody converter = C5 converter

I have heard this in the past. Can anyone clear the doubt, that a converter from one will bolt up to the other with no modifications?

Thanks in advance

You are correct.... Even though the Corvette went to an LS motor in the C5, it still used the LT style converter. It is a direct replacement. In 2005 the C6 went to a LS style, then in 2006 they went to the 6L80 setup. Hope this clears it up, any more questions let us know.

I can also verify that my 96 Lt1 corvette used a C5 Converter.
The writing on my Yank was "SS3200 LT1/C5"

The LT1 Fbody and LT1 (or L98) Corvette should be the same with the smaller diameter input shaft and TCC O Ring for a 700R4 or early 4L60e.

Quick Reply: LT1 Fbody converter = C5 converter
