Default Trailblazer torque converter

Will a torque converter from a 6 cylinder fit in an 4l60e from a 2002 seirra with a 5.3 and I was also told that it has a higher stall also is that true

Yes it will fit and it will stall more than the stock converter your Sierra came with because it was designed for an engine with less TQ/HP than the Sierra. It will increase the stall rpm and improve performance, but I would not put a lot of power behind it for integrity reasons.

A custom or modified budget converter for your application would be a better option IMO.

A TB converter will give you appx a 3/10 ET reduction where as a good custom converter is worth an easy 6-7/10 ET reduction as well as long term durability.

It's no mystery that I favor and recommend Circle D Specialties. I have ran their converters in all of our bracket cars and trucks and they have never let us down.

I'm not putting much power to it . I'm just doing a cam install and want bigger stall!! And other bolt ons

Dont get extremely crazy with it and you will be fine with the t/b converter.

Yes, they are correct it is a direct bolt in replacement. I am a big fan of the 278mm for a DD performance setup. It does have it's pros and cons though. If you want to shoot me an "Ask Chris" - link in sig - be glad to help you out.
