I broke the rotor...fawk
I bolted up the 4L60E to the LS1 without ensuring the pump lugs were lined up.Sure enough, the 13 vane rotor was shattered. It took a bit to figure out how to pull the pump assembly. Three valves and the filter had to be removed before the pump would have come out. Even my factory manuals didn't cover it, that I could find. Now the choice is to buy replacement pieces or another pump assembly. The only issue now is aligning the rotor to reassemble the two halves. What would you use? I'm thinking that the convertor would serve well if I drop the pump halve over it to line up the inards.
