Default manual shifting A4

I heard from some people that manual shifting a A4 car can ruin the transmission .Is it true or not ?

You will get a lot of mixed answer from this. The debate is still going on from person to person. I don't shift my a4. I would think that in upshift is better then downshifting, my not to educated guess on it.

i used to shift my a4 like its a manual all the time and now i get a slip midway through second gear. its sucks bad. I havent ran it manualy for a couple months now. Trust me dont do it!!

On a stock transmission it's not a good idea.

Don't do it. If you want a manual, buy a manual. These A4s are pretty reliable and can take some fairly potent power if you just leave 'em in OD.
