I have a 4L80E being built right now and have a couple of questions. I have been told that my '02 pcm can run the 4L80E after a tune. Is this true? I have been looking at the TCI computer to use as a stand alone for running the transmission. Which I like the tuneability of it and I would only need the harness that comes with it, but if my pcm will run it I might go with that option.

Also, do I really need to change the pedals? Seems like they should work either way.

 

You do not need new pedals but you will have a clutch pedal for no reason. I opted for the speartech harness controlled by my 00 PCM segment swapped by hp tuners
