I am thinking about purchasing:

to replace the pan that was beat to hell when I hit a nasty rock.

My question is about clearance. That pan is quite a bit deeper than stock and I have Eibach Lowering Springs (1.2 drop) on my 02 Trans Am.

Does anyone think I will run into a clearance issue if I get that pan? Let's assume I will not have to deal with trucks throwing boulders in front of my car with no time to swerve

Also, does anyone have experience with those pans who can provide feedback?

Not that pan, but I had a super-deep TCI finned pan
on for a while and kept tagging speed bumps with the
fill-plug. At only -1" drop.

Do yourself a favor and get a Silverado truck pan with
the drain plug, and run the truck filter with it. Cheap,
deep and tough but doesn't hang lower than the exhaust.

 

I agree that going with a 2" deeper pan is asking for trouble. The Truck sized one is right and gives you an extra quart.

Note that many ebay sellers have the normal depth pan; very few have this deeper pan. It takes the deeper truck oil filter.
