Had one snap on me out of nowhere on Tuesday. Wasn't even really beating on the car, since it's been raining here the last few days. Snapped clean at the rivets. I've heard of it happening before, but I was still very surprised when it happened. Just wondering if this is a somewhat common problem with them or did I just get lucky

I suspect that there was an underlying problem to begin with, like it was bent at one time during manufacturing and someone straightened it to hide their mistake, thus weakening the material....
