I've got a customers 3rd gen car, 1983 I believe, has a carbed small block in it. Was originally and still retains the 700R4 trans. We're discussing possibilities of putting a 4L60E in it.

My question is, is it possible? Should we just go through the 700R4? This kid is on a fairly tight budget, but we're still trying to get him the best results possible for his money.

We've also thrown around the idea of finding a used 5 speed setup.

Any suggestions or ideas are welcome.
