In total this project took me about 5.5 hours over three days and I lost 1 quart of transmission fluid. I also found out my engine bay was green at one point.
Congrats!!
And wow, what a chore.

"Baby.. It is a 20 minutes job, tops... That is if I run into an issue or two"

She use to believe that.... Not I get in return:

"Alright.. I'll see you in a few hours."

She is a smart woman.. I still haven't figured out that NOTHING takes 20 minutes, she has.

Glad to see you got it figured out though!

Where did you end up mounting your lokar? Do you have a picture?
I bought one, but the only places I could mount mine would have made it extremely inconvenient for...well just about anything I guess.

I can’t remember what all I had to unhook but I took the 6 bolts out of the k-member and lifted the car up off the k-member about six inches. You can put the new tube in and get to the bolt on the back of the head no problem. Sounds like a lot of work but it took me about 5 hours. It is a mother f$$ker to try and do in place.

I am closing this old thread. Active members here, who answer most of the questions, don't like having to re-read ancient threads. And people who posted on it don't like to get update notification years and years later.
