Default Th350 help needed !

Bought 93 mustang with ls1 and th350 trans. Having issues with it and need some help. Its delaying goin into 2nd gear but when it does go in it does just fine. Fluid is good and not burnt nor low. Check vacuum line also. Any ideas?

Is it delayed at part throttle shifting or wot?

Is it only having issues with the 1-2 shift or is the 2-3 late too?

There isnt really a lot that can go wrong in a TH350 to cause issues with 2nd. IF it shifts gorrectly into 3rd I would say you can pretty much rule out a vacuum modulator issue.

Some things it could be are 1-2 accumulator leaking, 1-2 shift valve sticking, intermediate sprag not functioning properly, or possibly a governor issue but I kinda doubt that.

Also what does it have for a valve body? guessing its not manual since you said you checked the vacuum line but just making sure..

Just doin it on 1-2 and most time at wot. Has a manual valve body in it.

it sounds like clutch clearence is high or the 2nd gear clutch pack is burnt pull the pan look for material r burnt fluid
