Default 4L65E issues

I have a 1990 Jeep Wrangler that I swapped a LS1/4L65E in. I'm having problems with the tranny. When is shifts into 2nd it studders/stumbles but not all the time. It does it less when its at temp. Some times it does it if I'm not on it then some times it won't. Other times it will do it if I'm gettin' some. It's very frustrating because I had a shop in CA look at and the guy said he fixed. 2 days later I moved to NC and the problem came back. Ay advice would be awesome.

Most 1-2 shift problems will be related to either the servo or the 1-2 accumulator, which are relatively easy to fix. Occasionally the band, which require removing the trans.

However, you say "studders/stumbles" which sounds like an engine problem. If your engine is indeed during that, I would check the sensors first. Does it have a custom tune; an incompatible tune might cause this.

The first step should be to have it scanned for any codes.
