4L60E Making a knocking sound?

4L60E Making a knocking sound? The 4L60e in my 94' makes a knocking sound and has NO gears! The only gear that works is park! I was driving then all of a sudden it started knocking and coasted to a stop. Could it be the Trans pump that broke? Or?? It knocks in every gear even park! Anyone??

While that does sound like the trans pump, I don't know if a major problem in the converter could give that symptom.
Do this:
Check the trans fluid level with the engine off.
Then check it again with the engine running; it is doesn't go down by about 1 inch, the trans pump is not working.

I messed up mine before by me and a friend installing the converter too close to the trans by not spacing it right.

As mentions installation error either not seating the pump properly at start or converter to flexplate clearance to high is a common cause of pump failure. Inspecting the pump itself should be easy enough to determine is was either.

Damn I wish you guys were local lol! I just talked to the Trans guy he said everything was done and measured. But it has to be BS. Would a pump be the only thing to make a knocking sound and shut the WHOLE transmission down? It goes into park so I know nothing is snapped inside..

A snapped input shaft would shut the entire trans down too, but that is very unlikely to happen while just cruising. I'll bet the pump rotor is split due to incorrect converter installation. They may have had an "oops" which cracked the rotor and it then split.
Find out what "social media" there is locally for that shop. Check for yelp, google maps, yahoo and any other review sites. Don't be threatening, but make it clear you like to post online reviews.
