98 z28 trans swap manual to auto
i recently purchased a 1998 z28 roller. it came originally with a 6 speed and i want to install an 4l60 auto trans in it with the original ls1 engine. i have some questions about the wire harness and ecm. do i need any additional wires and different ecm to make the swap? i do have the complete factory wire harness for the car. can it be modified for the new transmission? thanks

Yes, you have to add wires to the harness and get the special connector; I suspect someone sells that as a kit with directions.
The existing PCM (ECM) onnly needs an updated program (segment swap) to support the 4L60E. Besides the trans, you also need a trans cooler, the cooling lines, trans mounting hardware, driveshaft, torque converter and things I forgot.
