Default trans?

I have 2000 z28 ls1 looking to see what i need to do if i put turbo 400 trans in my car do i need short shaft or long shaft tail and will my stock drive shaft work or do i have to have it shortin to work or a diff one to make the combo work

I am building z28 with ls1 motor looking to put a turbo 400 trans behind it need to know if i need to mod my drive shaft and if i need to get long or short tail trans if anyone has any input on it would be great thanks

The only reason to put a th400 in would be if your building a hardcore drag car. The 4L60E can be built to take all of the abuse that even a serious street/strip car can through at it, unless your looking to run low 10's or faster it wouldn't be worth the trouble.
