Default Converter fitment issue

I have a 02 6.0 with a powerglide behind it...All was well until the case was broken..I had a new tranny built and ordered a ultrabell for it...Went to reinstall it and now i have a half inch gap between the converter and the flywheel.Iv'e been getting different advice from everywhere...I got a alum spacer and bolted it back up and still have the half inch of gap...It only has let the converter come all the way back and still have support in the front..It didnt move the flywheel forawd or move the converter..Im using a TCI 399753 flexplate, and the ultrabell..It all worked perfect with a stock glide case, but not now..It has a 1 1/8 space between the converter pad and the front of the bell, which is normal im told..So the converter is in the tranny right, but just the gap in between.....So i am getting aggravated with it and any help or ideas on what to do from here would be great????
