Transmission Fitment Question
The leading ''9" should indicate it is a 1999, which is a good start.
More importantly, check that it has a removable bell housing -AND- has a bolt hole in the 12-O'Clock position. If it doesn't have that bolt hole, it could be a 6-cyinder trans, a corvette trans or something else. That bolt hole indicates it has a 300mm input shaft and will work with LS1 compatible converters.

See the right-most picture in post #6 which is what the LS-compatible 300mm input shaft looks like. I suspect you do not have that.
Since I'm not an expert on this, watch for any following corrections or suggestions.
Now can you use it sure you will need the same spacer collar that's used for a 350/400 conversion with and LSI the electronics will be compatible. You will need to swap the tail housing from your old one.
