Default a4 question

a mechanic at my work told me that on the passenger side of my transmission there is this cylinder like thing that you take out by removing a ring and inside is a spring that you can emove and your shifts would be harder like as if you put in a shift kit has anyone heard or done this or even know what im talking about

i think you are talking about a super servo,or a billet servo.i just had one installed tonight along with my TC.it does provide a crisper shift.in fact,my tranny shifts as firm now as it did with the stock TC.
