I am rebuilding a 4L80E and was taking the pump apart this morning. I removed the clip holding the boost valve in and the valve didn't come out. I could push the valve in just fine (against the return spring) it just wouldn't come out of the bore. I wound up using a small screwdriver and tapping it out with a hammer. I have a Sonnax replacement that came with Jake's transbrake, but the new one won't go into the pump now. Should I just sand the pump lightly until the valve will drop in?
