Which to do fist, Stall or Gears
P.S. Count me in with the rest of the 2.73 haters in this thread
Thanks !
Thanks !
No other mod besides forced induction Will give you the et drop that a converter does.
3200 minimum for a tight almost stock like feel or baby cam, think 21x range.
3600 minimum for almost all other cam selections or someone who cares about et but still daily drives the car... Nitrous cars Will also be here.
4000 for larger cams.. 23x range or all motor setups. People who are looking for max performance.
The difference between a 3200 and a 3600 normal driving Will never be noticed.. Wot the difference Will be great.

I have several buddys running the Circle D Specialties 4C 3600 with 224ish cams and they lay down very strong numbers and also daily drive them. If you are able to sacrifice a little drivability, that same 224 cam along with a 4000 stall (CDS 2E or 5C) will net better track results. I'm a huge CDS 2E fan, but it's not ideal for your daily driver even though we DD it and loved it.
I am a big fan of the smaller 222-226 cams based on the results we have seen with our personal cars. The right converter really compliments the potential the lil' cams have to offer (Zero drivability issues and valvetrain longevity).

Agree,I think 2.73's with a stall will make the car launch hard off the line (on drag slicks) but everyday driving will make it feel lazy-ish in comparison to a much more responsive 3.73 or even 'peppier' 4.11 final drive gear ratio. Gears will be the difference between like starting out in 2nd gear vs 1st…
-However, note thats its always greatly beneficial to gear the final drive considering tire/rim size, and even the camshaft's power band!
