I have a 63 nova with a 2004 5.3 and am looking for a trans that will plug in and work. i dont mind having to use the flex plate spacer or having to switch a few pins around in the plug but prefer to get one that will just bolt in and go! what years will work out of what vehicles?

 

You want a '98 through '06 trans from a V8. The bell housing needs to have a bolt hole in the 12 O'Clock position - that indicates it has a 300mm input shaft as needed to be LS compatible. A '07 or '08 might work, but I would need a picture of the valve body to confirm it.
