I'm thinking the CDS/Reactor Aluminum SFI Flexplate would be worth it as well... lol

Chris said for me it would be overkill. I like his honesty.

If I have the cash for it, I might do it. Just to future proof the car for whatever I decide to do.

So is this a triple disk lockup then? Which would work better on the spray the 1E or 2E?? I'm thinking about an upgrade over my PYT Yank 3600 just to try something different. My 60fts are really lacking....

Single disk in my case. Talk to Chris about their Triple Disk series. I'm sure he can hook you up.

We can make it is a single or multi, no problem. If you want to fill out an Ask Chris I can go over your details and help spec you a converter.

The extra for the cds version is worth it not to have to use washers or too short hardware...I bought the non cds reactor plate out of what I thought was convenience.

Ha Jake, youll be looking at aftermarket castings here soon, lol.

Nah, the TEA setup is good. I've talked to Greg Good if I decide to go with a 402/416 down the road and want to open up these TEA heads.

Cool

I pulled the trigger on the 2E from Chris a few months ago. I called and got excellent customer service and advice. I'm a die hard bracket racer so I wanted something that was consistent. While I haven't ran my new setup at the track I do have to say I love this converter. I daily drive it with no problem. It is loose but its what I expected with 3.23s, I do have a torquer V2 cam I'm running with it (getting a S60 with 3.73s soon). This thing pulls like a freight train. I have a brand new crate ls1 so still breaking it in so to speak but ill get to the track soon and let you know what she does.

P.S. rolls to WOT with it...wow, haven't tried a dig yet because I'm 8 months out from being able to afford a new rear lol.

Bringing this one back up to the top. I have been talking to Chris about restalling my 2b 2800-3000 stall) to a 2e (4000 stall).

You guys still loving this converter? Anyone hit it with spray yet?

The 2E is a great converter, but it's not gonna want to be sprayed. As stated above the 1E would take a shot and run hard. The 2E is got to be one of the best NA converters out there IMO.

Default 2E Stator

I know this is an old thread, but can anyone advise the stats on the E stator? Is it the old 245 Core GM 086 Stator? Any info on vane count and angle? Thanks

This is kind of internal info only, but I can tell you it is not the 086 casting stator.

i just had a converter build with an 086 stator. I never installed it because everyone is telling me that the low STR will make the converter suck. I figured everyone loves the soft hit low STR 2E, so I wanted to compare.

I had a yank PT 3800 with 2.0 STR. It may be similar to one of the circle-d "E" convertors, I'm not really sure. I was pulling 1.68 60-ft times in a full weight 2000 z28 with 3.42 gears. It seemed a little soft off of the line, and it seemed to pull pretty good when the car got going. However, I have never compared it to any other converter, thus, I have no back-to-back data to make any fair comparisons.
