Hey John, lemme just make one more comment about the whole loose converter/3.23 gears thing. Understand that I'm NOT saying this (or anything else that I've said) to show you up, prove you wrong, or argue with you in a negative tone. You're a buddy of mine and I wouldn't do that even if I didn't know you so please don't take me wrong. I just REALLY want you to have a clear understanding of this. I hope you believe what I'm about to say because I KNOW it to be a fact and you'll just have to trust me on this one, ok?

I ran 11.20 with this somewhat tight SS4000 converter and 3.23 gears, right? It has a SE of about 5350. If on that night I'd had a PT 4400 (SE of about 5900) I would have gone quicker EVEN IF somehow my 60ft time was exactly the same (1.55.) There would have been ALOT more slippage across the finish line but I would have gone quicker and faster than with the SS4000.

Also, FWIW, despite the extra looseness of the TP4400 converter, it is actually a slightly more efficient converter than the SS4000.

No offence taken.

My understanding is very good on this subject and I totally agree with what you have said.

Your *peak* hp is at 6700 with a 224/224/112 cam? You sure about that? My peak HP with my 224/220/116 is 5900 and starts tapering off at about 6400.

What's too much is opinionated. With 3.73 gears I would like it ALOT on the street. The next guy might hate it. I would think it would be similar feeling to my 3.23/SS4000 combo which I like so much.
