Default 4L80e Temp Sensor

If I toss my gauge sender in the pressure port, how off will that reading be?

Mine reads within 2% of the internal trans sensor verified by my optishift logs. Good enough for me

10 degrees off on the pressure port vs a temp sender in the pan.. From what I've seen..

I hear the pressure port is bad since its threaded into the case and the temp sensor will read the case temp more than the fluid itself..

By that same logic the temp sensor will read the pan metal temp more then the fluid itself too.

not true, the pan metal is 1/8'' thick and the sender protrudes further into the pan vs the pressure port..

I am gonna toss it in the pressure port then compare to HPtuners and OEM sensor readings.

Just want a ballpark to make sure I am not cooking the trans, unsure on if cooler is up to it.
