Default Th400 to ls1 converter to transmission spacing?

Hi I installed a Jakes performance Th400 with a Ptc 10" stall converter into My 2002 Ls1 Camaro yesterday. Everything measured out and bolted up correctly. Had 3/16 gap between the flex plate and the torque converters mounting ears. Just looking at it all bolted up looks like the converter Hub is not very far into the transmission? Ive done a few stalls on my 4th gens but all have been 4l60e's. Just want to make sure all is good before I fire this thing up. Here are some pics. Thanks in advance Fella's!

I can see why you would be worried, I was a little bit wary when I had JUST finished my TH400 swap as well, as that was the first time I was diving into automatics. But moral of the story is, if you had the correct 3/16" gap between the ears and the flexplate, you are using the correct parts for TH400 to LS engine, and your transmission is snug flush to the block and installed correctly, then your converter should installed correctly and ready to rock! What stall speed did you go with?

Its a Ptc Custom spec'd for my setup. Stock ls1 with 80mm turbo and 273 gears. Not Sure what stall it is I just gave them all my info and let them work their magic. Everything measured out correctly when I installed the converter and the transmission went in very smooth. Good to hear Im not the only one concerned with the depth of the hub. On the 4l60e you cant see the back of the converter when the tranny is bolted up so this is new to me. Oh and by the way Ptc will build your converter to bolt directly to your stock flexplate so no need for fancy spacers or adapter.

That looks normal, you can see a lot of the hub because of the smaller converter.

Thanks for the reply Jake! Makes me feel a lot better about the spacing Just Looks like the hub or whatever you call it? Isn't seated enough into the transmission. Still have a lot of work to do on the turbo setup but should have it moving under its own power by next week.
