4L80E stall
I'm planning a 6.0/4L80E swap in the future for my '71 K20. The 6.0 (most likely LQ4 unless I can find a deal on a LQ9) will have a cam (TSP 224R or 228R), long tubes, and a tune. I know the 4L80E has a relatively low stall speed, so with the mods mentioned above, will I need to go higher? I'm thinking I will have to, as this is going into a 5000 lb truck after all. I don't really want to spend the money seeing as 4L80 converters are brutally expensive, but I'd rather do it before the swap happens rather than find out the engine is a dog afterwards.
So, if I do have to change it, what would be a recommended stall?
Thanks!

Give me a call and I can help. We have several different converters that will fit the bill for your setup.

Circle D==FTI==Yank. Read reviews on the web and make a decision. I have read some good things about Revmax but have no experience myself. I have run a couple of CircleDs with no complaints at all.

I got my FTI 3800 converter on Thursday. Spoke to Greg the first time & then called again to order & spoke to Troy. Very helpful guys & hooked it up too! Oh the only bad thing was, they forgot to send me a t-shirt. Lol I still want it!!
