looking for info on this converter. currently running stock converter. car will have 3.42 gears. would like to run n/a most of the time but have a 200 -250 shot on hand to handle that pesky ricer. So if someone has used one I would like to know if it runs good n/a and able to handle 200-250. I have a lot of modding to do. Or would a ss4000 or ss3600 be my ticket.

I am getting one custom spec'd from FTI (9.5 inch, single disc, 3800 stall, billet front plate, etc)
If you dont have your heart set on getting a Yank, I would definitely give a shout out to Greg at FTI and see what he recomends.
Good luck!

I run this converter that is the 3800 yank, with spray the converter is hands down a rocket out of the hole. I took off my spray and started running it N/A and its still a rocket out the hole but i think the top end is lacking because of how fast the torque comes in (if that makes sense). I plain on getting it re-flashed to run straight n/a to pick up my MPH on the top end.

Off subject a bit, but anyone know of any deals or places that offer holiday discounts on converters and things of this nature. Really wanting to get a big stall, but saving for a good one.
