Slipping Transmission
The information I have at this time is limited, but I'm wondering (of course with limited information) whether you think it's possible to drive the car home and look into it once it's back.
Thanks for the feedback!
Ask exactly when the trans is slipping.
It depends on the circumstances, but if you drive a car with a slipping tranny the motor is going to be at a higher rpm consistently, thus meaning the engine is working harder and at a higher temperature. If you drive the car uphill it will be worse and you could even blow a head gasket if the tranny is slipping severely.
If you really think the vehicle is a good investment then get it towed and rebuild the tranny.
Doing **** the right way can save you a lot of hassle and money down the road.
I would not suggest driving it that far if the trans is slipping in all gears - that could indicate a trans or other problem that could strand you.
