Default 4l60e smell of burning fluid

Took the car for a spirited drive Saturday and noticed on a WOT 2-1 downshift I am getting a slight smell of burning transmission fluid.

Also while messing around at one point the car was spinning hard in first and I didn't lift so it shifted into 2nd gear and got a more noticeable smell. After that I babied the car home.

Fluid in the trans looks and smells fine judging by the stick and the transmission works perfectly otherwise and also worked fine at the drag strip a couple weeks ago.

Does it sound like maybe some excess fluid is just being forced out of the vent and hitting the exhaust under severe load?

Can be from the vent, or sometimes the extension housing yoke seal leaks a little under hard load.
