Default 2nd Gear Bog

okay so ive got a LS1 swapped s10, carb converted running a 700r4.
When shifting into second gear under normal throttle the truck will sometimes bog down, not slip but actually bog. At other times it doesnt want to shift into second and when it does it shifts so extremely hard, at a high rpm.

Trans has a fti 3200 stall with and was built with an upgraded pump, sprags, sunshell and shift kit etc. to handle upwards of 500hp both probably only have about 1500 miles on them and have been fine until now.

Any ideas guys?

Transmissions don't cause bogs.
Carbs do.
I don't know 700R4, but I guess that a misadjusted TV cable is a likely culprit for the shifting issues.

its not a carb problem the truck runs fine will its bogged afr and all is normal its the trans, i have heard of others complain of this in 700r's but have never seen any exact fixes. ill take a look at the tv again but seeing as its only 2nd gear and the tv has not been messed with since i set it and it has just slowly gotten worse i doubt its the culprit either.

A bog can also be caused by a trans shifting too early, especially if the engine has a hot cam that doesn't like low RPMs.
I need to step out of this discussion because I don't know enough to help you.

Please remember that most members here run with EFI and electronic transmissions. A Camaro 3rd gen forum can probably help you more withe the 700R4.

Yeah that is true! I would say the same if it didnt go to the polar opposite and wait till high rpm to shift in normal driving aswell. I believe it may be in the valve body and is diverting fluid in a way that is acting as a trans break you could say. I may just rip it out and go turbo 400 with a bigger stall
