another 4l60e issue
so im getting tired of dealing with 4l60es and plan on swaping t56 soon but for the time being figured id ask you guys
2000 camaro ls, 4l60e trailblazer stall
no codes
so with my luck soon as i was prepping to go to the strip. leaving the house trans started not wanting to shift until 3-4k rpms otherwise it will shift at around 3000k when i let off the throttle when doing my scans show its sliping pretty much anything after 4k rpms but each shift point feels great and trans fluid looks fine also
if anyone has an idea or needs more info it would be much appreciated
thanks josh

Are you saying that the trans is shifting very late, or are you saying that it is slipping? Or are you saying that the trans is slipping so badly that you don't feel the shift until the slipping has stopped?
The trans does not decide when to shift, the PCM does. If it is shifting late, then the PCM might think you are giving more throttle than you are. This could be due a bad MAF or MAP sensor or a misadjusted TPS.
If you think the trans is slipping, is it during the 1-2 or 2-3 shift?
You said you "my scans show..."; what scanner are you using?

i tried a different tps didnt change anything...
sorry for the confusion just kinda hard to explain

A slipping 1-2 shift is the band slipping, a slipping 2-3 shift is the 3/4 clutch slipping; in other words, complete different mechanisms. If both suddenly slip, I would suspect low line pressure. This could be low fluid level, a defective EPS (pressure control solenoid, also called "force motor"), a bad engine sensor or a bad trans pump. (And, extremely rarely, a bad PCM.)
A good trans shop would hook up a pressure gauge and check that blipping the throttle produces high line pressure.
Since you have HP Tuners, you could scan for the following:
RPM
Speed
TPS
MAF
MAP
Trans current gear
Force Motor (PCS) Actual current
Force Motor (PCS) Line pressure %
Then log a short drive that includes the slow shifts and slippage.
Post the log file here. (Do an Advanced reply, "Manage Attachments", upload the file, and then link the reply to that attachment.)
Or email it to me: ted -at- vedit -dot-com
While I will try to diagnose the log file, other members like JimmyBlue are much more experienced at understanding these log files.
If you don't want to go to all that trouble, you might start by just disconnecting the MAF and driving the car. (Avoid WOT) Or select a local private trans shop and have them hook up a pressure gauge and scanner and drive the car.
